What is OpenPCF

Welcome to the home of the OpenPCF Project - The Open Provisioning and Control Framework! OpenPCF is a set of open source components that help system administrators manage (large) environments of computer systems.

The various components of OpenPCF help you automate repetitive tasks, taking the boring work out of your hands. OpenPCF components help you manage groups of systems, send commands to groups of systems, regardless of platform type, deploy operating systems and configure application software.

OpenPCF is completely modular. Every component is autonomous, so you can use it without having to download all of the components to use just a fraction of the framework. Just read the descriptions of the projects to get an idea of what each component does and download what you're interested in!

Projects

Atlas
Atlas is an authentication distribution utility. It handles automated ssh-key installation on target systems according to easily defined grouping rules.

Reveal
Reveal is the javascript based user interface for the Open Provisioning and Control Framework. It provides visual access to OpenPCF.

Session
Session is the state control component of OpenPCF. It handles the grouping, command execution, starting and stopping of systems and services.

Universal
Universal is the provisioning and configuration component of OpenPCF. It takes care of installing software and applying configuration settings.
